Why your fat intake will affect your health and training results.
In recent decades we’ve received messages telling us that fat is bad for us, but the fact is that the right types of fat can actually be beneficial for our health, and even helpful for those who are striving to achieve fat loss.
In the July/August issue, Maria Deveson Crabbe touched on why fat is an essential part of a successful weight loss regime (p42 – email email@example.com to request a copy) and how completely removing this essential nutrient from our diet can, in fact, be detrimental for weight loss. The message nowadays, is clear. The secret to optimal health is to achieve balance in our fat intake. Make sure that any fats you do eat are
of the unsaturated variety (i.e., monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) and reduce your intake of saturated fats and trans fats.
